At this point I realized the engine was so hot that the radiator temperature was only catching up with the actual temperature that you see by the gauge. The thought popped in my head that when a week ago I was considering better air filtration and I should have bought that K&N Performance Filter, more air, less heat. Have you ever had your engine over heat after an upgrade? The K&N Performance Filter will get more of that cooling air to get into and help your engines needs.

Or, you can try a more direct approach at cooling your engine by reading about Coolant or Antifreeze, they really are the same thing.
But back to K&N Air Filters, which other than my fix up sports/luxury car, which isn't on the road right now, all my vehicles have a K&N Air filters. I can say that all the vehicles that I own, which I've installed the K&N air filter, that the performance and the miles per gallon improved. If you read between the lines there, you'll see that leaves out any vehicle I bought that already had a K&N Air Filter. I'll be honest. I'm now tempted to by a standard, it works, but basically crappy paper filter for the truck just to see what happens. Will my miles per gallon go up or down? Will my power go up or down? Those last to question issues can mean the same thing, but they really don't have to.
